HAROLD AMBUEHL ELEMENTARY

Dear Families and Soaring Eagles,

I am so excited for the 2023-2024 school year and can't wait to see our Eagles SOAR!

This year our focus is, “Together Everyone Achieves More" and our staff is collaborating in helping our students achieve success both academically and socially.  There are a lot of similarities between school and sports, they both take a personal commitment for success. As a staff, we will continually remind our students that education takes work - “When you fall, get right back up. Just keep going, keep pushing it.” —Lindsey Vonn

 

This year we will continue our academic program that includes SOAR time where every student gets what they need to succeed, dedicated PE 2 times each week, as well as Music and Art.  Our i-Can STEAM lab will be up and running and we will focus on student collaboration in order to prepare our students for the future. 

 

Students…get ready to give this year your ALL!  As Pat Riley once said, “Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.”  We believe that everyday is an opportunity to learn more than yesterday and we are committed to helping our students reach their goals.

To share a bit about me: My husband and I have two adult daughters and a son-in-law, all graduates of CUSD schools. Wanting to be a teacher my entire life, I taught elementary school and served as an Assistant Principal at Middle School where I supported students through the transition from elementary to teenage years, and I have been principal here at Ambuehl for 4 years. My experience as a parent and educator have given me a true understanding of what students need to be successful in school and beyond.

 

I cannot express enough how honored I am to have the opportunity to work alongside the teachers and families at Ambuehl Elementary. Our teachers are dedicated to providing the best educational experience for your child, and we encourage you to join us by getting involved any way you can. Remember, with a TEAM we can achieve so much more than we can as an individual. Children grow up faster than we think, and memories made here will last a lifetime.
