HAROLD AMBUEHL ELEMENTARY

Dear Families and Soaring Eagles,

I am so excited for the 2024-2025 school year and can't wait to see our Eagles SOAR!

This year our theme is, Academics Drive Success.  Our staff is always committed to finding new ways to make the learning more engaging and fun because a strong foundation in learning will give our students so many more opportunities and options as they grow. 

 

This year we will continue our academic program that includes English/Language Arts; Math, with our exciting new curriculum; SOAR time 4 times each week where every student gets what they need to succeed; Science; Social Studies; and dedicated PE 2 times each week; as well as Music and Art.  Our i-Can STEAM lab is up and running and we will focus on student interaction and collaboration in order to prepare our students for their future. 

 

Students…get ready to give this year your ALL!  As Pat Riley once said, “Excellence is the gradual result of always striving to do better.”  We believe that everyday is an opportunity to learn more than yesterday and we are committed to helping our students reach their goals.

To share a bit about me: My husband and I have two adult daughters and a son-in-law, all graduates of CUSD schools. Wanting to be a teacher my entire life, I taught elementary school and served as an Assistant Principal at Middle School where I supported students through the transition from elementary to teenage years, and I have been principal here at Ambuehl for 5 years. My experience as a parent and educator have given me a true understanding of what students need to be successful in school and beyond.

 

I cannot express enough how honored I am to have the opportunity to work alongside the teachers and families at Ambuehl Elementary. Our teachers are dedicated to providing the best educational experience for your child, and we encourage you to join us by getting involved any way you can. Our PTA is dedicated to raising funds that support our students and teachers, as well as, organizing events to bring the Ambuehl Family together. I encourage you to join PTA and look for opportunities to volunteer. Children grow up faster than we think, and memories made here will last a lifetime.
