2024/25 Registration
  1. Do you need to register your child for the 2024/25 school year? If he/she attended Ambuehl and completed the 2023/24 school year in grades K-4, your child will be rolled over to the next year; you do not need to re-register if you plan to stay at Ambuehl Elementary. If you are new to Ambuehl for the 2024/25 school year, here is some important information and dates. . .
     
    • First Step for student registration: Fill out on-line registration - https://www.capousd.org/ParentsStudents/District-Info/EnrollmentsTransfers/index.html
    • Second Step:  Bring child's birth certificate and 2 forms of proof of address to Ambuehl Elementary's front office and we will be happy to complete the enrollment.
    • The first day of school for the 2024/25 school year is Tuesday, August 20, 2024.
    • Families will be notified of class placement by accessing Parent Portal.
    • Ambuehl Elementary is not accepting requests for teachers for the 2024/25 school year.
    • For returning families, School of Choice window opens January 29, 2024, and closes March 5, 2024.

    • Kindergarten Student Profile
    • Enrollment Information - programs your child may have participated in, medical needs, custody issues, IEP (Please provide office w/ copies of documents pertaining to your child.)
    • Report of Health Examination - completed and signed by physician 
     
    REGISTRATION PACKETS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED IF ALL OF THE
    REQUIREMENTS ARE MET AND THE PACKET IS COMPLETE.

KINDERGARTEN AGE REQUIREMENTS

A child turning 5 years old on or before September 1, 2024 can be enrolled in kindergarten for the 2024/25 school year.
 

1ST GRADE AGE REQUIREMENTS

A child turning 6 years old on or before September 1, 2024 can be enrolled in 1st grade for the 2024/25 school year.
